Work a step

So I have this friend in the program - nice person but I've lost it with this guy.  He texted me that he was having a procedure at the hospital last night and that his sponsor was going to be with him.  He texted me this afternoon that he needed something and to please give him a call before I left work - so I told him, I had to be somewhere at 6, but I could probably pick something up for him before I went to meet my friend.  Want to know what the all fire emergency was?  Ice cream.  Now I understand a good craving - and a serious need for ice cream on a hot day - but seriously?
